The message needs money.

Hillary Clinton lost out to Barack Obama, but not because her message was off-center. According to Mark Penn, her pollster and senior strategist, also a top adviser to President Bill:  “campaigns are equally about money and organization…” His NYTimes OP-ED is here.

A lack of money led to a lack of numerous solid statewide organizations, so with a bit more cold hard cash, the Clinton campaign message could have been pushed harder and deeper and thus more superdelegates. Good to see our struggling US Dollar still makes all the difference. Oh, and according to this NYTimes piece, Clinton owes several million to vendors. She’s good for it. She’s got plenty of time to earn those dollars back.
