Bushnell and the cool million for your Bigfoot photo.

10 06 2008

In a clever campaign, Bushnell and Field & Stream are attempting to bring bigfoot into our eerie realm of reality once and for all:

We’re not saying we believe in Sasquatch, but if anyone’s ever going to capture an image of one, we’re guessing it’ll be a hunter with a trail camera. That’s why Bushnell is offering a chance at $1,000,000 to the first person using one who snaps a verifiable photo of the beast.

We’ve been assuming that Sasquatch inhabits the remote forests of the Pacific northwest, but stories from across the country have popped up in recent years. This blog post from Field Notes precipitated the Bushnell and Field & Stream promo – I believe that they’ve created a great new monster: an outdoorsy public  who are most apt to find Sasquatch.  A great tie from a lovable fable to a real call to action.
